Got caught in a storm
the night before I was born
Got soaked head to feet
like I was in a monsoon in Bali
A thousand kids made of clay
were dancing in a field
They laughed and pointed at me
and my shiny metal shield
I put my armor
in an old sculptor's hands
And the mirror I held became the lake
where we all swam
Yeah the mirror I held became the lake
where we all swam
And the white petals rained down
and the yellow bells
And I emptied all my pockets
of reflections of myself
And the mirror I held
Yeah the mirror I held became the lake
where we all swam
Expressing my gratitude for my consistent enjoyment of this album. I began listening to it on a warm summer night several years ago, the first summer after I graduated highschool. It complemented the wonderment of my young adulthood I was experiencing that night. Listening to this music takes me to that time while also setting my sights forward. I could easily call this album the soundtrack of my curious life! John
